Crazy Friday!!!

Friday was a crazy but scary day. When I got home from work on Friday, Josh said that his right side of his face wasn't working. I thought that was kinda strange and that he was kidding. So when I was looking at him it was true. So Brian took him to the Emergency Room. They diagnosed him with having Bell's Palsey (I think thats how you spell it). So only one side of his mouth works, he can't close his eye. He has lost all taste on one side. He can only lift one eyebrow, and on and on. Everything on that side does nothing. It almost looks as if he has had a stroke, but the Dr. assured us that that was not the case, and in time this will go away. The Dr. said that there might be some after affects like that side of his mouth and eye might droop. It is kinda sad to see him with a half smile. We hope that he recovers very soon. Here is a couple of pictures.

Karissa is going to College

We had an exciting week this past week, Karissa was accepted to Snow College. We are so proud of her!! Mom is going to be kinda sad because she has been my shopping buddy, my lunch buddy, and movie buddy. Anytime I say I am going somewhere she is ready to go with me. I am going to miss that. She decided to attend a smaller college for her first two years, then her plan is to head to medical school at the UofU (unless other plans happen). Karissa is also going to apply for a music scholarship. We pray that she will get one. She has amazing talent when it comes to singing. We are so proud of Karissa and love her very much. She is such a beautiful girl and we are so blessed that she is a part of our family.

First Real Snow In Saratoga

This is the amazing view from our house, before the big winter storm.

This is the first snowfall of the season it was a doozy it snowed ALL day saturday and didn't stop until early evening. Yep that's my house.

More snow everywhere you look, let it snow let it snow let it snow!

Tyler was so excited he has waited all year for more snow his favorite thing to do is to take my large cookie sheets and go sledding, he says he goes alot faster with the cookie sheets than his regular sled. maybe santa will have to bring him some new cookie sheets for christmas, or maybe mom should get the cookie sheets.

Things I am Thankful for........

With the holidays fast approching I was thinking of all the things that I am thankful for. So I thought I would write some of them down....
1. I am thankful for Brian-He is the best husband and friend.
2. I am thankful for my four amazing kids-They all are sooo different but that is what I love about them.
3. I am thankful for the Gospel-It has been a constant in my life that I am soooo greatful for.
4. I am thankful for my extened family-The love and support from my own family and Brians family have been amazing.
5. I am thankful for great friends-Friends that I have made over the years, and Family that became VERY great friends, most importantly (is that a word?) the ones you can dump all your bad days and good days on and they will listen and I hope that I do the same for them.
6. I am thankful for my freedom-I am greatful to all those who have fought and will continue to fight for MY freedom.
7. I am thankful for the food and shelter that I have-I LOVE my house. I hate to fix meals but I guess I have to do that.
8. Im thankful for the beautiful surroundings that I live in-Today as I was driving around I was looking at everything. The beautiful Blue skies, the tree colors changing with the Fall weather, the awesome mountains. They are a wonderful sight to see. The Lake that I get to wake up to EVERY morning is such an amazing site.

There are so many more things that I am thankful for....the little things, hot water when I shower, A car that runs, Going out to eat and not always having to cook, Having my nails done and having pedicures(a little selfish I know), having my job (sometimes). Im thankful for the air that I breath, and also that when I go to bed at night I am safe in my home. OK so now you know I am thankful to just be alive. I could go on and on but I will stop now. I wanted to write it down because I was thinking so much about it today!!! Hope you all have a great day!!

Halloween a little late but.........

OK I know i'm a little late but I got it done......We crashed a great halloween party at omniture, it was a blast! They had all kinds of Disney characters and cardboard cutouts ;) Each area of the company was set up with different themes, The imagination of these people were crazy!!The kid got tons and tons of candy but still insisted on trick or treating. I can't beleive I only have one that still goes Trick or Treating, and he doesn't need mom and dad to take him anymore. So we got to stay home and pass out candy!!!!!

Happy 21st Anniversary!!!!

Where has the time gone. Today is my 21 wedding anniversary! Amazing. When I met Brian I met my best friend. I still remeber the day we met. It was at a fourth of July party at the Waldrons. He threw a water balloon over the house and hit me with it. He was the biggest jokster and still is. I can tell him about anything. Sometimes I wonder if he is listening or just pretending to, thats ok. :) He is a wonderful father. He really gets involved with whatever the kids are doing at the time. He goes out of his way to do all he can for our family. I am so blessed to have met him and to have married him. I love you Brian and always will. I still think you are a Hottie!!!! Happy Anniversay!

FInal Football Game of the Season

WOW!!! Check out that sexy beast!!!!!!! We finally got the pictures from Josh's last football game loaded into the computer (thank you Adam). Well it has been a fun season, lots of ups and downs. The first of the season Josh missed the first 3 games do to an injury. Not fun. It was hard to go to the games and not see him play. Well after he was healed he has a great rest of the season. This last game I think was his best. It was fun watching him sack the quarterback 4 times. Because of his size and speed a lot of the players were intimidated by him. Thats O.K.!!!! It was so much fun to go and watch ALL and I mean ALL of his games. Brian helped coach the team so at times it was a little stressful but we got through that. Next year Josh will be a freshman and will be playing on a different level. Hope he will continue to love it as much as he does now. I think he will!!!!!!

ADAM MOVED HOME

Just a quick note, Adam called Friday night and asked if he could move home. Mom said joyously Yeah!!!!! Dad said Oh Damn (hehe) My prayers have been answered. I am so glad that he decided to come back. He realized that it was harder then he thought it would be out there. I know he had a really good time with his friends and I am glad that he was able to be with them. This Weekend was a busy one for the family. Josh was ordained a Teacher Sunday. The Bishop asked Brian if he would like to set him apart. That was really a special opportunity. Anytime you can see your husband offer a special blessing for one of your children or yourself or anyone else is awesome!!! It was a really good weekend. Im jumping around a bit, but Friday night was kinda freaky for Karissa and I. We were headed to get something to eat and out of nowhere a HUGE white bird flew at our windshield and smashed it. It was crazy! Saturday I said to Brian maybe we should go trade the car in now its broken!!! No luck on that one.
