HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY AND GRADUATION

WOW I can't believe my baby girls is 18, and graduated on the same day. May 29th. It was a really great day. Karissa had alot of people there to support her. Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Cousins, friends and family. I was able to get lots of pictures of her. Karissa got the opportunity to sing the National Anthem with about 9 other girls. That was pretty cool. If you notice in some of the pictures she has on a mask, it was a tribute to one of Karissa's girlfriends who last year was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell (ALC) Lymphoma, cancer. McKenzie a few weeks back had a Bone Marrow Transplant and was not expected to make it to her graduation. She was bound a determained to make it and she did and also walked. After the graduation we went to Carrabbas for dinner, that was alot of fun we had about 25 people there and the food was yummy. Karissa we are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished. You are an amazing and beautiful girl and we love you very much. Have an wonderful time at Snow you deserve it!!!!!

Baseball Tournament in Idaho

We had a Baseball tournament in Idaho this past weekend with Josh's team. It was a lot of fun. We got there Thursday night and the boys went right for the pool. We were told it was heated........Nope. The water was so cold. They got good use of the Jacuzzi. Our first games started on Friday. The boys won their first game 12-0. They were very excited about that. Before the second game the temp started to drop. By the time the game started it was 39 degrees and raining. As the game went on it started to sleet. I stayed in the car and cheered from there. They lost that game 6-8. They tried really hard. That night the boys all hung out together and I found out the next day they didn't go to bed until after 3 am. I wasn't happy about that cause I knew that the boys wouldn't be ready for the game. Well that was the case. We lost our first game 6-12. The second game of the day was not going very well either. We were at our last up and had 2 outs on us. We were down 10-1. Then all of a sudden the boys decided to start hitting, and did they hit!!!! One of the players had back to back in the park home runs. WOW! By the time we finally got our 3rd out we had scored 12 runs. We won that game 13-10. We had a really good time on the trip.

Karissa's Senior Prom

Tonight is Karissa's Senior Prom. She was so excited to go. Her dress was so pretty. She picked a princess dress. What else would she pick. The color was really pretty on her. She wanted to make sure that she was comfortable at the dance so instead of the regular girl shoes, High heals, she went with a pair of pink Converse. SMART!!! A friend in the ward did her hair and make-up and did such a great job on it. She went with a really cute boy, Mike. They looked so cute together. Have a great time Karissa!!!!!!!!

Karissa in New York

Karissa had a ball in NYC. From the minute she got off the plain she was running at full speed. She took a red eye flight and got in about 7 AM. They dropped their stuff off at the hotel and headed for the Empire State Building. That night she went to the show "Stomp". She sang in the Trinity Church Cathedral. She said that was awesome. She spent some time in Central Park and while she was there her and a girlfriend found the bridge from Enchanted so they had to skip across it singing the song from the movie. Im sure people thought they were crazy. They went to a Mets game that night. She was hoping for a Yankees game cause that is her favorite team, but no luck. They went to "Ground Zero" she was very disappointed with that. It has now become a construction site. No remembrance what so ever. She went to the broadway play "Hairspray" she really enjoyed that. She went to Ellis Island and Liberty Island to see the Statue. She really liked that. I think one of her highlights of the trip was her trip to China town. She learned to bargain really well. She was told by the Chinese ladies there that she was CHEAP!!! they would say "you cheap you to cheap" and Karissa would just laugh. But in the end she would always get the bargain. Her last night there they went to a play "Sunday in the park with George" she said it was so horrible that as soon as the could they walked out. She did so many things and had such a great time. She is looking forward to the time she can go back again.

What the DEER??????

I was cleaning up the kitchen just a few minutes ago and I noticed the dogs were intently looking at something so I went to the sliding door and looked out. I ran and grabbed the camera and this was what I got. These deer were just on the other side of the fence. They didn't even care that we were there. What an amazing place to live when you can look out your window and see deer grazing in your back yard.

Happy Birthday Tyler!!!

Friday was Tyler's 10th birthday. I can't believe my baby is 10 years old. The family went to Boondocks. We had a fun time. When we got to the place I went to pull out my camera and it wasn't in my purse. I had left it at home so the picture that I got was taken with my phone. We had the whole family there. Brian and I, Adam came and brought his girlfriend Katie. Karissa was there with her friend Erika, Josh and Tyler. Dawn and Kevan came and brought their kids, Logan, Preston and Libby. The kids had a blast on the Slick Track, Laser Tag, Miniature Golf, Go Carts, and using a lot of tokens. It is so nice to do the birthday parties like that because all you do is show up, and boondocks is so much for for every age. Happy Birthday my crazy little boy!!!!

I was "Tagged"

OK I procrastinated long enough. Summer Tagged me.....I am not sure if I can come up with 7 facts about myself but I will try! I think some of these you might already know. Here are the rules of the game first:
1. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird, etc.
2. Tag 7 people at the end of your blog also leaving the link to their blog.
3. let them know that they are "tagged" by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here we go:

1. When i was a junior in high school myself and 3 of my girlfriend together decided we didn't want to go to school that day so we ditched school and headed towards San Diego on our way there we decided to just keep going and went to Tijuana. We paid like $15 dollars for Mexican insurance. What for? I have no idea. We just walked around for a while and made sure we were back in time to be home at the end of the school day. To this day my parents never found out.

2.In Costa Mesa where I grew up we had the amphitheater (at the time they held concerts there). I heard Van Halen was coming. They are one of my favorite groups. I wanted to go really bad, but the tickets were sold out, even for lawn seating. So.....myself and a few friends decided we were going to hop a fence to go to the concert. I have no idea where I had the guts to do things like that but as we were trying here came the security guards and started chasing us.
Needless to say we never got in but we were able to hear the whole thing from the outside.

3. When I was 17 Brian took me to a Quiet Riot concert. One of the best I had ever been to. No joke they put on a great show.

4. I have a shoe fetish. I love them. I was telling Karissa that when Brian and I got married I has a good 25-30 pair, and slowly they started to disappear. I thing Brian was getting rid of them. I have noticed the same thing over the past little while, so its time to restock again.

5. When I was little we would play a game with the neighborhood kids... we would pretend we had a big rope and would play tug-o-war across the street. When the cars would come by the would start to slow way down and almost come to a stop. We would pretend to drop the rope that didn't exist and run. I'm sure the drivers were not very happy.

6. Brian and I came to an agreement early in our marriage: I clean diarrhea and he cleans throw-up. It happened when I puked trying to clean up after Adam when he was little. I think I got the better end of the deal. I stopped having to clean stinky diapers when the kids were potty trained. There are still times Tyler doesn't make it to the bathroom to be sick.

7. When I was in fourth grade The hair style of the times was the Dorthy Hamill cut. My hair was down to the middle of my back, and all I kept say to my mom was I wanted my hair cut like that. She told me I wouldn't want it that short but I begged and begged until she made an appointment for me. I went all excited to the hair place. I sat in the chair and the girl started to cut. I looked in the mirror and was horrified, My hair was so short I looked like a boy. I cried so hard. So to this day I have not had my hair any shorter then my shoulders. It scares me to go any shorter then that.

OK so here goes...I TAG: Kimberly, Kristen, Tara, Emily, Bettie, Chelle, Kim W.
