Not a happy day today. Karissa had her wisdom teeth removed plus one more that they did a bone graft on to get ready for an implant.
If you ask me I think Karissa looks pretty good not much swelling (yet). We will have to see as the night goes on
She finally fell asleep. I thought she would sleep all day but she didnt fall asleep until about four this afternoon.
It took me the longest time for her to let me take a picture. so this one was just a random shot as she pulled her hair in her face. She did so well with the surgery I was very impressed with the Dr. he had her in and out in about 1 hour. I was looking forward to her sleeping all day so I could get my house cleaned but thats not what she thought. We sat and watched chick flicks. That was nice too. Im so glad its all over.

Funny things kids say.....
OK I know I was on just a while ago but I had to put this in our blog cause I thought it was funny...Tyler called me at about 5:30 tonight while I was on my way home from work and he asked me if I had gotten laid-off yet....I told him no and asked why? He told me he wished I was because he was lonely! That is how positive my family is about me getting laid-off. They are really hoping it will happen:) I think they pray about it when they say their personal prayers.

Ok I have had many people ask how things are going with Josh. He is doing really good. His very cute smile is back and so he smiles alot now. His tastebuds are working again so he is enjoying his food again. We are so glad he is back to normal and are thrilled that all is well. I want to thank all of you that kept him in your prayers I know that all is well with him because so many people remebered him. I am so greatful he is back to his old self, and is as goodlooking as ever.

Crazy Friday!!!
Friday was a crazy but scary day. When I got home from work on Friday, Josh said that his right side of his face wasn't working. I thought that was kinda strange and that he was kidding. So when I was looking at him it was true. So Brian took him to the Emergency Room. They diagnosed him with having Bell's Palsey (I think thats how you spell it). So only one side of his mouth works, he can't close his eye. He has lost all taste on one side. He can only lift one eyebrow, and on and on. Everything on that side does nothing. It almost looks as if he has had a stroke, but the Dr. assured us that that was not the case, and in time this will go away. The Dr. said that there might be some after affects like that side of his mouth and eye might droop. It is kinda sad to see him with a half smile. We hope that he recovers very soon. Here is a couple of pictures.

Karissa is going to College
We had an exciting week this past week, Karissa was accepted to Snow College. We are so proud of her!! Mom is going to be kinda sad because she has been my shopping buddy, my lunch buddy, and movie buddy. Anytime I say I am going somewhere she is ready to go with me. I am going to miss that. She decided to attend a smaller college for her first two years, then her plan is to head to medical school at the UofU (unless other plans happen). Karissa is also going to apply for a music scholarship. We pray that she will get one. She has amazing talent when it comes to singing. We are so proud of Karissa and love her very much. She is such a beautiful girl and we are so blessed that she is a part of our family.

First Real Snow In Saratoga
This is the amazing view from our house, before the big winter storm.
This is the first snowfall of the season it was a doozy it snowed ALL day saturday and didn't stop until early evening. Yep that's my house.
More snow everywhere you look, let it snow let it snow let it snow!
Tyler was so excited he has waited all year for more snow his favorite thing to do is to take my large cookie sheets and go sledding, he says he goes alot faster with the cookie sheets than his regular sled. maybe santa will have to bring him some new cookie sheets for christmas, or maybe mom should get the cookie sheets.

Things I am Thankful for........
With the holidays fast approching I was thinking of all the things that I am thankful for. So I thought I would write some of them down....
1. I am thankful for Brian-He is the best husband and friend.
2. I am thankful for my four amazing kids-They all are sooo different but that is what I love about them.
3. I am thankful for the Gospel-It has been a constant in my life that I am soooo greatful for.
4. I am thankful for my extened family-The love and support from my own family and Brians family have been amazing.
5. I am thankful for great friends-Friends that I have made over the years, and Family that became VERY great friends, most importantly (is that a word?) the ones you can dump all your bad days and good days on and they will listen and I hope that I do the same for them.
6. I am thankful for my freedom-I am greatful to all those who have fought and will continue to fight for MY freedom.
7. I am thankful for the food and shelter that I have-I LOVE my house. I hate to fix meals but I guess I have to do that.
8. Im thankful for the beautiful surroundings that I live in-Today as I was driving around I was looking at everything. The beautiful Blue skies, the tree colors changing with the Fall weather, the awesome mountains. They are a wonderful sight to see. The Lake that I get to wake up to EVERY morning is such an amazing site.
There are so many more things that I am thankful for....the little things, hot water when I shower, A car that runs, Going out to eat and not always having to cook, Having my nails done and having pedicures(a little selfish I know), having my job (sometimes). Im thankful for the air that I breath, and also that when I go to bed at night I am safe in my home. OK so now you know I am thankful to just be alive. I could go on and on but I will stop now. I wanted to write it down because I was thinking so much about it today!!! Hope you all have a great day!!
